An established employee health and primary care clinic in Glen Allen, Virginia is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for a full-time contract assignment. This opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule, low patient volume, and the ability to practice comprehensive primary care in a collaborative outpatient setting.
This role is ideal for experienced Nurse Practitioners who enjoy building long-term patient relationships while focusing on prevention, wellness, and evidence-based primary care.

Practice Setting Providers will work in an employer-sponsored healthcare clinic serving employees and their dependents. The clinic focuses on accessible, high-quality primary care, preventive services, health coaching, and chronic disease management.
Patients receive healthcare services through their employer-sponsored health plan, creating an environment focused on quality outcomes and continuity of care rather than provider volume metrics.
Clinical Responsibilities Provide comprehensive primary care services for pediatric and adult patients ages 2+
Evaluate and treat acute illnesses and injuries
Manage chronic medical conditions
Conduct annual wellness visits and preventive screenings
Perform well-woman examinations
Provide minor behavioral health management
Deliver patient education and health coaching
Manage occupational health and workers' compensation cases
Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies
Prescribe medications and treatment plans within scope of practice
Document patient encounters in Athena EMR
Schedule 36 Hours Per Week
Monday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Additional Details One-hour lunch break
No weekends
Start date: December 2026
Assignment through March 2027

Qualifications Required Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP)
Active Virginia Nurse Practitioner License
Active DEA Registration
BLS Certification
Minimum 2 years of Family Nurse Practitioner experience
Recent outpatient primary care experience within the last 2 years
Experience managing acute and chronic conditions
Experience performing well-woman examinations
Preferred Athena EMR experience
Occupational Health experience
Workers' Compensation experience
DOT certification or examination experience
Employee Health clinic experience
