Job description
Title: Family Nurse Practitioner II (FNP)
Facility: Haynesville Correctional Center
Location: Haynesville, VA 22472
Duration: 03 Months to Long-Term
Schedule: Standard Day Shift, 40 Hours/Week
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive health assessments, including physical examinations and patient histories.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses and develop individualized treatment plans.
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
Prescribe medications and other treatments in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.
Provide preventive care, health screenings, immunizations, and wellness counseling.
Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications:
Valid NP License for the State of VA
Current BLS/CPR Certification
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certification
