An exciting Emergency Medicine NP/PA opportunity is available in New York with flexible shift options and a strong clinical support structure. This is a high-volume emergency department environment with excellent specialty and diagnostic support.

Epic EMR
30% admission rate
Dedicated pediatric emergency department
Strong 24/7 specialty and hospitalist support
NP/PAs see approximately 2 patients/hour
Main ED and fast-track coverage
Shift Options Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday:
7:00 AMâ€"7:00 PM
11:00 AMâ€"11:00 PM
7:00 PMâ€"7:00 AM
Monday & Wednesday:
7:00 AMâ€"7:00 PM
9:00 AMâ€"5:00 PM
4:30 PMâ€"12:30 AM

Rapid Assessment Zone (RAZ)
In-house psychiatric coverage for 12 hours
Approximately 90% of admissions managed by hospitalists

Provider Workflow NP/PAs work in the main ED and fast track
Peak staffing includes physicians, pediatric coverage and multiple NP/PAs
No scribes; providers utilize Fluency Direct dictation
Additional Coverage Option â€" Harris, NY A second New York location is also available with a lower-volume emergency department.

24/7 hospitalist coverage
NP/PA volume approximately 1.8 patients/hour
Main ED and fast-track coverage
CT and ultrasound available 24/7
Schedule:
Weekdays: 10:00 AMâ€"8:00 PM or 3:00 PMâ€"1:00 AM
Weekends: 11:00 AMâ€"11:00 PM
NP Requirements Graduate of an accredited NP program
Active NY RN and NP licenses
Active AANP or ANCC FNP certification
Active NY DEA with NY address and required prescribing schedules
ACLS, PALS and ATLS â€" AHA
Moderate sedation experience/training
Case logs and CME/CEU documentation for the past 2 years
New graduates may be considered with appropriate training
PA Requirements Graduate of an accredited PA program
Active NY PA license
Active NCCPA certification
Active NY DEA with NY address and required prescribing schedules
ACLS, PALS and ATLS â€" AHA
Moderate sedation experience/training
Case logs and CME/CEU documentation for the past 2 years
New graduates may be considered with appropriate training
Credentialing Requirements Current annual flu vaccination
Current PPD or chest X-ray for initial credentialing
Current physical for initial credentialing
Annual N95 fit test
MMR, Hepatitis B and Varicella titers
$1M/$3M malpractice coverage
Ideal candidates: Emergency Medicine NPs/PAs who are comfortable in a busy ED environment and have the required New York licensing, DEA, certification and emergency medicine credentials in hand.
