High-acuity cases including cardiovascular, neuro, trauma, and comprehensive surgical services
Teaching opportunities and diverse case mix
CAAs work in a medically directed anesthesia care team model alongside anesthesiologists and CRNAs.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development and implementation of anesthesia care plans
Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations
Administer and maintain anesthesia under anesthesiologist direction
Monitor patients intraoperatively and postoperatively
Participate in patient safety and quality initiatives
