Physician Assistant (PA) Primary Care
Location: Oakhurst / Coarsegold, California
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $140,000 $145,000 Annually
Position Overview
A respected healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join its primary care team in Oakhurst/Coarsegold, California. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive preventive, acute, and chronic care services while collaborating with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic healthcare services.
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
Document patient encounters, treatment plans, medications, referrals, and orders using SOAP documentation standards.
Review laboratory results, imaging reports, and specialist recommendations.
Coordinate referrals and follow-up care for patients.
Educate patients on preventive health and wellness.
Follow established clinical protocols and treatment guidelines.
Participate in care team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and peer review activities.
Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
Support efficient clinic operations and patient-centered care delivery.
Participate in rotating call coverage and telephone triage responsibilities as required.
Consult with supervising physicians on complex patient cases.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Active and unrestricted California Physician Assistant License.
Current CPR/BLS Certification.
Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
