Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician AssistantPhoenix, ArizonaPalm Health has joined an established and highly respected cardiothoracic surgery practice in Arizona that is seeking a Physician Assistant to join its growing surgical team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a team of experienced cardiothoracic surgeons in a high-volume cardiac surgery program serving multiple leading hospitals throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.
The position is entirely hospital-based with no outpatient clinic responsibilities, allowing providers to focus on operative and inpatient care.
Position HighlightsJoin an established team of Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistants
First assist in a variety of cardiac surgical procedures
Hospital-based practice
No clinic responsibilities
Shared call rotation (1:4)
Exposure to complex and diverse cardiac surgical cases
Collaborative surgical team environment
Multiple hospital locations
ResponsibilitiesFirst assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures
Endoscopic and open vein harvesting
Daily inpatient rounding
Pre-operative and post-operative patient management
Inpatient consultations
Coordination of care with surgeons, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams
Participation in shared call coverage
QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
NCCPA Certification
Active Arizona license or ability to obtain
Prior operating room experience required
Vein harvesting experience preferred
Cardiothoracic Surgery experience strongly preferred
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
