Job description
A health services organization in New York City is seeking a licensed Family Medicine Physician to join their inpatient behavioral health facility in Brooklyn.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day
Schedule: Monday to Friday (or weekend and evening coverage, depending on assignment)
Hours: Standard business hours; evening and weekend hours may apply
Setting: Inpatient Adult Mental Health
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive medical care to adult patients in an inpatient psychiatric setting
Examine patients, review medical histories, and assess current health concerns
Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests and examinations
Diagnose conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
Prescribe medications and other treatments, and provide health guidance to patients
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of relevant experience
Valid license to practice medicine in the State of New York
Valid Federal Narcotics Number
Medicare and Medicaid enrollment in New York State
