Contract: 3-month initial assignment with strong potential for extension
Setting: Residential healthcare
Start: ASAP / pending credentialing
Seeking a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician for a residential healthcare setting in Abilene, Texas.
Position Details
Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Approximately individuals in the residential population
Typically no more than 10 patients per day
Weekday call approximately every 6 weeks, 5:00 PM 8:00 AM
Weekend/holiday call approximately every 6 weeks
Approximately 95% of call handled by phone
Weekend/holiday call includes rounds in a 16-bed infirmary
Primary care, annual physicals, interval assessments, and treatment planning
Diagnostic follow-up and EHR documentation
Interdisciplinary care planning and collaboration with nursing, specialists, and therapists
Evaluation and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries as needed
Requirements
MD or DO
Active, unrestricted Texas medical license
Active DEA
NPI
Current CPR/BLS
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related primary care specialty
Completely clean professional and Texas Medical Board record with no disciplinary action, sanctions, or restrictions
Preferred
Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
Residential healthcare experience
