Primary Care opening in KansasLocated in Chanute, KS; Wichita 40mEmployedFull Time; PermanentLicensed from the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts as a Medical DoctorMust pass KBI, DCF child & adult abuse registry, motor vehicle screen, and background checksKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.Operates efficiently in a variety of settings and offices.Remain positive and flexible under work pressure.Sound judgment in crisis and routine situations.Proficient with computers and word processing.Timely completion of records and other written documents.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Fulfill all duties and services per Employment Agreement.Manages the medical plan of care prescribed for the patient, based upon protocols and guidelines.Assesses complete medical history and physical on patients, aged newborn through geriatrics.Orders and/or performs diagnostic tests and treatment according to established protocol and analyzes data collected to determine health status.Executes diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.Provides follow-up and maintenance care in accordance with established protocols.Collaborates with the patient and members of the healthcare team to provide acute and ongoing healthcare or referral of the patient.Maintains strict patient confidentiality and familiarity with all HIPAA guidelines.Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or the Chief Executive Officer.About Chanute: Affordable Housing Chanute boasts a very affordable real estate market, with housing costs well below the national average, making it an attractive place for first-time homeowners and retirees.Strong Community Spirit Known for its welcoming, small-town charm, Chanute hosts events like the Artist Alley Festival and holiday parades, fostering a sense of belonging among residents.Educational Opportunities The presence of Neosho County Community College and quality K-12 schools provide access to excellent educational resources for families and students.Outdoor Activities Chanute offers plenty of outdoor recreation, including the Katy Hike and Bike Trail, Santa Fe Park, and nearby lakes for fishing, hiking, and camping enthusiasts.Convenient Location Centrally located in Southeast Kansas, Chanute provides easy access to larger cities like Wichita, Kansas City, and Tulsa, making it a strategic and peaceful base for travel or regional work opportunities.
