Locums - Florence, Oregon Family Medicine Physician Opening Position Overview
Start Date: October 1, 2026Family Medicine physician needed for inpatient and outpatient coverageExpected Duration: 12 monthsFTE: 1.0Reason for Opening: Gap in coveragePatient Population: Newborns through geriatricsAverage Clinic Volume: 20 patients/day Schedule & Call
Monday-Friday: 8a-5pWeeknight call may be requiredWeekend call may be required, typically 7a-7aCall Requirement: YesSchedule pending; most likely approximately 1 week/month , including weekendsPhysician will share pediatric and post-delivery callPediatric call no longer required as of 8/31/2026 Practice Setting
Setting: Inpatient & OutpatientHospital: 21 bedsPrivileges: Clinic and hospitalRounding & Admissions: Both Newborn/Pediatric Coverage
Pediatric support focused on newborn assessmentIf on call, physician will assess newborns immediately after birthCare is provided only to the newborn , not the motherNewborn care may occur in the hospital and/or clinic settingAverage Newborn Deliveries: 3-7 per monthNo obstetric-focused medical or surgical care before, during, or after pregnancy Requirements
Active Oregon license requiredBLS and NRP requiredCertifications must be from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, as applicableEMR: EpicMinimum Epic Experience: 1 year essential What is great about Florence, Oregon
