Family Medicine Physician - Locum Tenens Opportunity in Petoskey, Michigan (49770) Overview: Seeking a board-certified Family Medicine Physician for a 13-week locum tenens primary care role in Petoskey, Michigan (49770). This on-site outpatient primary care role offers a Monday-Friday schedule, no weekends or on-call coverage, and the opportunity to care for patients across the lifespan in a collaborative, patient-centered environment in scenic northern Michigan.

Family Medicine Physician Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,000-$6400 Employment Type: Locum Tenens Specialty: Family Medicine / Primary Care Setting: On-site outpatient primary care clinic Location: Petoskey, MI 49770 - scenic northern Michigan community with a welcoming atmosphere and easy access to year-round outdoor recreation Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Shift Duration: 8-hour days Hours per Week: 40 On-Call: None Weekend Coverage: None Patient Volume: Approximately 20 patients per day EHR: Cerner Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: July 13, 2026 Family Medicine Physician Job Requirements Board certification in Family Medicine required Active Michigan medical license required at the time of presentation At least 1 year of Family Medicine experience required Experience caring for patients from newborn through geriatric age groups Comfortable with adult outpatient care, pediatric general outpatient care, and women's health visits Ability to perform pelvic exams and Pap smears Ability to interpret EKGs NPDB self-query completed within the last month required at presentation Must be local to Michigan Family Medicine Physician Responsibilities Provide high-quality primary care coverage in a busy outpatient family medicine setting See approximately 20 patients per day while maintaining excellent patient communication and efficiency Deliver comprehensive care to patients across the lifespan, from newborn through geriatric age groups Perform routine outpatient procedures, including pelvic exams and Pap smears, as part of women's health services Interpret EKGs and address common primary care needs in a timely manner Collaborate with clinical support staff to ensure smooth patient flow and an excellent care experience Document care accurately and efficiently in Cerner Apply now to join this locum tenens family medicine physician opportunity in Petoskey, Michigan.
