Job description
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician seeking a mission-driven practice in coastal San Diego. This position allows physicians to serve underserved communities within a Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to expanding access to high-quality care. The clinic is undergoing an exciting period of growth and service expansion under new leadership, creating opportunities for physicians who want to make a meaningful impact. Physicians enjoy a flexible schedule with protected administrative time and no overnight call responsibilities. The care model emphasizes teamwork, collaboration, and integrated services that support both patients and providers. Practice, Compensation & Organization Highlights
Mission-driven FQHC serving underserved coastal communities
Collaborative team environment rebuilding and expanding services
Flexible scheduling options with protected administrative time
No overnight call with after-hours service managing patient calls
Average patient volume of 20-24 patients per day
Dedicated inbox coverage during time away to prevent message backlog
Team-based care model with physicians, nurse practitioners, and behavioral health providers
On-site specialty services including behavioral health, cardiology, podiatry, nutrition, and dental
Newly renovated clinic with eClinicalWorks EMR system
Opportunity to perform procedures based on physician training and comfort level
Base salary between $270,000-$320,000 not tied to RVU pressure
Up to $50,000 NHSC loan repayment eligibility through HPSA designation
Comprehensive benefits including malpractice insurance with tail coverage
28 days PTO plus 5 CME days and $5,000 CME allowance
