Job description
LOCUM TENENS - PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN, SAULT STE. MARIE, MICHIGAN
AVAILABILITY:
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 9 months expected
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Clinic hours: Approximately 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Approximately 36 patient-facing hours per week
Clinic setting; no call
LICENSE:
Michigan medical license required
IMLC candidates will be considered
CERTIFICATIONS:
Board Certified or Board Eligible
BLS required
EXPERIENCE:
MD/DO required
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
Primary Care experience required
New graduates may be considered with residency training documentation showing relevant experience within the past 12 months
Other candidates must demonstrate care for at least 10 adult inpatient/outpatient cases within the past 12 months
CLINICAL DETAILS:
Primary care outpatient practice
Target volume: 2+ completed visits per clinic hour
Appointments generally 30 minutes or less
Typically supported by 1 MA or LPN
Additional support includes referral team, prior authorization team, and RN navigators
EMR: EPIC/Dragon
LANGUAGE:
English proficiency required; native or bilingual proficiency
