Job description
Join a well-established, not-for-profit community hospital seeking a Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to join its outpatient practice in Southbury, Connecticut . Candidates with a background in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine will be considered.
Essential Responsibilities Provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute visits
Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of medical conditions across all age groups
Perform annual physicals, wellness visits, and routine health screenings
Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
Collaborate with specialists and interdisciplinary care teams for coordinated patient care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based care delivery
Educate patients on disease prevention, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle choices
Qualifications Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Training: Completion of an accredited residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Licensure: Active Connecticut medical license (or eligibility)
Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Experience: All experience levels welcome; new graduates encouraged to apply
Compensation & Work Environment Salary: $270,000-$325,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
