Job description
Benefits:
Bonus based on performance
Employee discounts
Paid time off

Training & development
You are a high-energy team player with a passion for fashion. You thrive in fast-paced environments, you love to learn, and you're totally into thrifting!
You also want more than just a job - you want to grow and make a real impact.
But you have not been able to find the perfect place to showcase your skills. A place where you feel valued...and get paid what you're really worth.
If that sounds like your story, we should talk!
Uptown Cheapskate is the premier buy-sell-trade fashion boutique for young adults. We are hiring Fashion Buyers and Fashion Consultants for our brand new flagship store in Tempe/Mesa .
You can earn $18-$20 per hour based on performance. We also offer flexible schedules and discounts on the fashion brands you love!
You just need prior experience working with customers in a busy, high-volume environment, along with evening + weekend availability (because that's when we're busy). Working here is kinda like working out - you're in constant motion, frequently lifting up to 30 pounds. It's a great way to stay in shape!
If you have been part of a competitive team (sports, dance, cheer, arts, etc), that's a HUGE plus. If you enjoy creating content and being on camera, that's also a plus.
If you are ambitious and no-drama, you will have a blast working here. With career development opportunities, and a supportive leadership team, you will have everything you could want and more.
There's lots of interest in this position, so don't miss out - apply in 90 seconds!
Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Welcome to Uptown Cheapskate!
Uptown is the premier upscale thrift store for young adults. Sell gently used clothes for cash & shop premium brands for 70% off retail.
Our Mission
We're elevating thrift by making every team member and customer feel valued and cared for.
Why We Exist
To prove that retail jobs can actually be a fun career launch pad.
You've probably worked somewhere you felt uninspired. Unappreciated. Bored out of your mind. Treated like a warm body filling a shift. Going nowhere.
We're building the opposite: a place where impact matters, where getting better is the point, and where the work you do creates real opportunities for your future.
Our people get to watch a successful business get built from the inside. They get to learn how things work, which they can apply to their own business someday.
Why does this matter? Because when people feel valued and challenged, they do incredible work. And when people do incredible work, everyone wins.
We hire smart, ambitious, drama-free people and help them achieve their full potential.
