Job description
A fast-growing, mission-driven fresh-food brand is recruiting an Assistant General Manager. In this high-energy role, you will support daily operations, lead and develop a team, uphold food safety and quality standards, and deliver an outstanding guest experience while driving shop performance.
Responsibilities
Support the General Manager in hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching team members
Lead by example to foster a positive, high-performing culture
Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
Deliver outstanding guest service and resolve guest issues promptly
Monitor shop performance metrics and use data to improve results
Oversee inventory management, ordering, and waste reduction
Support sales growth initiatives and local store marketing efforts
Conduct daily briefings to encourage open communication and teamwork
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant operation
Assist with cash handling, deposits, and basic administrative tasks
Requirements
Hands-on leadership experience in a restaurant, café, or quick-service environment
Proven ability to train, coach, and motivate diverse teams
Passion for fresh food, great service, and developing people
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
Comfort using data and KPIs to drive operational decisions
Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
