Job description
Trio Student Support Services Assistant
Assist the TRiO Student Support Services department with providing academic support services to help students graduate from Southwestern, encourage students to transfer to a four-year college or university, and assist with the transfer process. This position is only open to Student Workers* 3 to 20 hours per week
Description of Essential Functions
Assist staff members with the following tasks: internet research, data entry, filing, photocopying, answering phone, creating flyers, signing out/in books and supplies, organizing books and supplies, and keeping SSS area tidy.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be current degree-seeking student enrolled in at least 6 credits. Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0. Must be eligible to receive FWS based on financial need and eligibility requirements determined by FAFSA. Required Skills/Experience:
Pleasant demeanor
Basic computer skills such as internet research and email
Preferred Skills/Experience: Microsoft Word and Excel
Creativity for designing flyers, etc.
