Job description
Feed Mill Support Operator FM02 – 2nd ShiftWork Schedule – Monday through Friday, occasional weekend and working on other shifts to meet production needs.Hours: 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. – approximate, may need to be adjusted for production needs.This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining operational areas of the mill, upkeep of the grounds and landscaping around the mill, and assist with ingredients receiving when needed while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.Job SummaryAbility to sweep and clean assigned areas of the mill and sign off when completedHelp and assist with ingredients unloading activities like unloading of rail car/trucksAbility to clean up feed spillsAbility to perform ground keeping duties including using landscaping equipment such as mowers and trimmers.Ability to use and maintain air driver equipment like blow guns to assist in cleaning activitiesAbility to use high pressure water hoses to wash down and clean areas of the feed millAbility to use PIT to move pallets of ingredientsMust wear required PPE ear protectionAble to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments. Heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand schedulingAbility to work in elevated areas and follow all safety proceduresAble to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines including an agreement to avoid any avian speciesMaintain good housekeeping including service areasCommunicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where requiredFollow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocolsAble to Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs. with assistanceStand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.Complete all other tasks assigned by management.Requirements: Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl to be considered.Six (6) months operator experience with one employer in the previous 12 months. 1 year feed mill experiences preferred. HS diploma or equivalent preferred, previous experience operating various types of powered industrial vehicles preferred.Only applicants from the following counties in AR will be considered: Carroll, Boone, or Newton County in AR or within a 50-mile radius of the mill.Must be able to complete paperwork, basic math, communicate effectively.Relocation Assistance Eligible: NoWork Shift: 2ND SHIFT (United States of America)Certain roles at Tyson require background checks.
