Job Description Job Description We are currently seeking a Fiber and Low Voltage Technician to install safe and efficient electrical systems within commercial buildings and industrial facilities. This role involves working as part of a small team to install, maintain, and troubleshoot various electrical and low voltage systems, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Some travel throughout Minnesota is required to complete assignments.

Responsibilities

Install and repair electrical equipment, low voltage systems, and fixtures

Install raceway and cable tray systems for efficient wiring management

Set up security and audiovisual (AV) systems in commercial and industrial settings

Troubleshoot motor controls and electrical systems to resolve issues

Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and associated components

Ensure adherence to all safety codes and quality assurance protocols

Use standard electrical hand tools, testers, and power drills effectively

Required Qualifications

min 6 months experience with installing low voltage cabling for commercial buildings and campus environments

experience with termination and handling of 4 pair communications cabling and jacks.

clean attendance and punctual history

self motivated to learn and show desire to advance

reliable transportation

valid MN drivers license

resident or living in MSP or St. Cloud area.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 2 years experience in low voltage installation and maintenance

High School Diploma or equivalent

Knowledge of electrical systems installation and troubleshooting

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and motor control systems

Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards

Effective communication and teamwork skills
