Exciting OpportunityOur operation features a new state-of-the-art Bystronic fiber laser system with advanced automation, providing the opportunity to work with industry-leading technology designed to maximize efficiency, quality, and productivity.Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced CNC Fiber Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC fiber laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality sheet metal components safely, accurately, and efficiently.The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented manufacturing professional with experience operating fiber laser equipment, interpreting blueprints, performing quality inspections, and troubleshooting production issues. This individual will play a key role in maintaining machine performance, meeting production schedules, and ensuring finished products meet customer specifications.ScheduleMonday through Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm. Occasional overtime may be required based on production demands.Essential FunctionsSet up and operate CNC fiber laser cutting equipment and automated material handling systemsReview work orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure parts are produced accurately and efficientlyLoad, unload, and stage raw materials for productionMonitor machine performance and production processes to maintain quality, accuracy, and productivityPerform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to verify conformance to specificationsIdentify and troubleshoot machine, material, and quality issues to minimize downtime and scrapPerform routine maintenance, cleaning, and daily equipment inspections to ensure optimal machine performanceReplace consumable components and assist with preventative maintenance activities as requiredAccurately document production activity, material usage, and quality resultsCommunicate machine status, production progress, and operational concerns to supervisors and team membersAssist other departments as needed to support production requirementsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standardsPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsPrevious experience operating CNC fiber laser equipment in a manufacturing environment requiredAbility to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructionsStrong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and production issuesStrong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and material handlingProficiency using measuring tools and performing basic quality inspectionsStrong shop math skills, including fractions, decimals, and metric conversionsComfortable working with computerized machine controls and manufacturing softwareForklift and overhead crane experience preferredStrong attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to workplace safetyWhat Makes Someone Successful in This RoleSafety-focused mindsetStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesDependable, self-motivated, and able to work independentlyOrganized and detail-orientedPositive attitude and willingness to support team goalsCommitment to producing high-quality work and continuous improvementAbility to perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentWhy Work for Us?We're a family owned business serving the Midwest and beyond with custom quality sheet metal parts and assemblies for over four generations.
