The company encourages Field Application Engineers to become involved throughout the customer engagement process, take ownership of technical challenges, and contribute ideas that improve customer outcomes and support business growth.Your Role with the CompanyAs a Field Application Engineer, you will support regional sales managers by understanding customer requirements, recommending appropriate technical solutions, and presenting products and technology roadmaps. You will act as the technical bridge between customers, sales, and internal teams, supporting pre-sales engagements and providing technical assistance throughout the customer relationship.Community InformationAustin, Texas, is a major technology and engineering hub with a strong presence in semiconductor, embedded computing, aerospace, defense, and advanced technology industries. The area offers a diverse professional community, a growing technology ecosystem, and access to a wide range of cultural, recreational, and outdoor activities.This position is fully remote, with candidates expected to support a regional territory extending across Texas and into Canada. Regular customer travel is required.Background ProfileMust HaveBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.Minimum 3+ years of experience in Field Applications Engineering, Technical Sales Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a comparable customer-facing technical role.Strong technical understanding of hardware/software integration and embedded computing systems.Experience gathering customer requirements and translating customer needs into technical requirements or product recommendations.Proven ability to provide technical sales support and collaborate with regional sales managers.Experience presenting technical information, product capabilities, and solutions to customers.Strong understanding of FPGA/DSP-based embedded hardware.Strong understanding of RF and analog technologies.Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills.Customer-focused, self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.Willingness and ability to travel 50% or more, including overnight and multi-day trips.Ability to travel regularly, often approximately two weeks per month depending on customer demand.DesiredExperience supporting aerospace and defense customers.Familiarity with open-architecture computing platforms and standards, such as: VPX / OpenVPX, SOSA and MOSA, PCIe, Graphics/GPU computingAdditional Job DetailsSalary Range: $130,000 - $165,000Location: Austin, TXType of Role: Full-time, Direct Hire - REMOTETravel Required: 50%+ travel (depending on customer demand)Relocation Assistance: YesVisa Sponsorship: U.S. Citizen, Green Card
