Job description
Field InstallerThe Field Installer is responsible for assembling, staging, and installing signage throughout Virginia. This role operates out of a satellite location (Ashland VA) and requires a high level of independence, organization, and accountability. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing their schedule, preparing materials in advance, and representing Duncan-Parnell professionally in the field.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall a wide variety of commercial signs throughout Richmond and surrounding Virginia areas. This position requires local travel to job sites and occasional overnight stays as needed.Represent Duncan-Parnell professionally during on-site customer interactionsSafely and efficiently operate tools and equipmentMaintain and organize the Ashland satellite storage space, including receiving shipments from the Raleigh hub and ensuring materials are secure and job-readyTroubleshoot and resolve installation issuesInterpret maps, construction plans, and assembly instructionsAdhere to standard operating procedures and job protocolsPrepare for installations by reviewing scope, staging materials, and pre-assembly of signage at the satellite location to ensure jobs are ready for efficient delivery and installReceive, verify, and stock incoming shipmentsPick up signage from the Raleigh NC Hub as needed (weekly)Document completed installations with photosCommunicate proactively with the team on job status, scheduling and complete billing paperworkInstall exterior and interior signage, including posts, banners, acrylics, wayfinding signs, logos, and graphicsOperate lifts (scissor, boom) as requiredPerform additional duties as assignedRequirementsHigh school diplomaValid driver's license with a safe driving recordExperience in light construction, carpentry, fabrication, or signageCommitment to Duncan-Parnell's missionCompetenciesTeam-oriented with a strong work ethicMechanically inclined; proficient in carpentry, measurements, and tool useOrganized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask and troubleshootSelf-motivated; able to work independently, manage and prioritize tasks to meet deadlinesAbility to lift 75 plus poundsCompensation and Benefits Include:Competitive SalaryMedical, dental, vision, accident, life, & long-term disability insurance availableMedical and dependent care FSA or HSA401(k) retirement planPaid parental leavePTO & HolidaysThe statements above are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this position.
