From design and installation to the maintenance of customized solutions, we provide truly turnkey solutions that help our partners increase productivity, enhance yields, reduce downtime, and lower overall costs.Position: SMS Service ManagerLocation: USA | NorthWest IndianaWhat We Offer:Competitive pay, commensurate with experienceHealth/Dental/Vision plans401k company matchLife InsuranceShort Term Disability & Long-Term DisabilityEducational AssistanceEmployee Assistance PlanResponsibilitiesThe Service Manager role is responsible for all Steel Mill Service Operations in a designated region.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent, under general supervision:Responsible for all safety requirements of the Steel Mill Service forceManaging shop operations, including overseeing the functions of the SMS group (safety, performance management, equipment maintenance, parts, material inventory and payroll).Drives Operational ExcellenceIdentifying and implementing key metrics outlined by the business unitFinancial performance of Field Operations including Steel Mill Service cost controlProvide monthly reporting on Field OperationsDeveloping close working relationship with entire customer base and MIN TEQ departments, and fully understanding their requirementsProvide staffing for projects and material trialsWorks closely with HR on company policies and union contractsOther Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerforms other duties as assigned.Note: Management reserves the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.QualificationsThe requirements listed in the sections that follow are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform the duties of this job. Prior experience supervising a work group. Significant knowledge and experience in sales and marketing, customer service, and business acumen.Good leadership, management, interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational and problem solving skills, English speaking, Closing Skills, Motivation for Sales, Prospecting Skills, Sales Planning, Selling to Customer Needs, Market Knowledge, Presentation Skills, Energy Level, Meeting Sales Goals, ProfessionalismMust be able to withstand the physical pressures of standing, walking, climbing steps, sitting, extremes of hot and cold, as well as being in a dusty, dirty industrial environment. Must be able to gather organize, and analyze data, draw conclusions, and handle stress. Must wear safety equipment where required.General: Must be able to travel as needed.
