Field Operations Network SupervisorLove Your Mondays again! Join the Future of Connectivity with Metronet! As a Field Operations Network Supervisor you will be responsible for managing all Network Fiber Technicians operations in the assigned geographic area. As well as ensure all terminating, spicing, bonding/grounding, documenting, and testing of all fiber optic cables is done correctly to ensure operational efficiency.Essential Job Functions:Oversee the selection, hiring, and career development of all field techniciansHelp establish and maintain a standard for equipping technicians with tools and test setsManage the company tools and test set inventory and quickly address 'loss' issuesHelp develop a supporting training and skills development curriculum for both new hires and existing employees and maintain its currencyManage workplace safety and provide safety training to employees as requiredManage both the productivity and quality of work down to the individual employee levelDevelop and maintain a district out-of-hours call out scheduleProvide support to the video engineering and facilities engineering departments with the planning and maintenance functions for hub sitesAssist the video and network engineering teams with the planning of all MetroNet hub sites in terms of advising as to their location, size, exterior appearance, and internal layoutSupport the monitoring and maintenance of all hub site electronics and peripheral systemsAssist with troubleshooting equipment failures and service affecting problemsRapidly respond to any security or equipment alarmsSupport Outside Plant with repair and maintenance activitiesWork with OSP manager to develop OSP preventative maintenance routines to minimize potential outagesProvide assistance as needed with OSP repair and restoration activitiesEnsure OSHA, NESC, NEC, and MetroNet safety regulations and precautions are followed for all work activitiesKeep up-to-date with FCC and other regulatory requirements and standardsManage vehicle inventory, tools, test set utilizationAll other duties as deemed necessaryJob Qualifications and Requirements:Highschool diploma, GED or similar3-5 Years splicing experience1-2 years supervisor or leadership experiencePrior hands-on experience with the installation and maintenance of customer inside wireExperience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, or other Microsoft productsMust be legally authorized to work in the U.S.Join us and find out what it means to love your career!
