Job description
Route Delivery DriverGA Foods is seeking to hire a Route Delivery Driver for our Fort Lauderdale location.ResponsibilitiesSafe delivery of food items and supplies to customer homes/sites in a timely and accurate mannerVehicle upkeep and cleanlinessMaintain food safety and handling procedures with compliance to temperature requirementsReport any deficiencies or problems to supervisor promptlyMaintain driver scorecard and other required recordkeepingPerform daily vehicle inspections and maintain service recordsCheck vehicle fluid levels and perform general routine inspection of vehicle to ensure all is in working orderAssist with packing and/or storing of food items, components and/or supplies as requiredRegular attendance required to meet employer's attendance policy to ensure customer deliveries can be accomplished as scheduledOther duties as assigned by managementExperienceValid Driver License (No DUI in last 5 yrs., 0-4 Current Pts.)Good Communication and Customer Service SkillsGeneral Office Equipment and Computer ExperienceGPS and Tablet TechnologiesMin. 3 years prior route delivery/distribution exp. preferredServSafe Food Handler CertificationPhysical DemandsUnder 1/3 Standing timeWalk, Climb or balanceStoop/kneel/crouch/crawlTaste or smell1/3 to 2/3 Use hands to finger/handle/feel, Reach with hands and armsOver 2/3: Sit, See, Talk or hearAbility to frequently lift up to 50lbsWork EnvironmentWork is performed outdoors and inside a vehicleRegular exposure to various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snowThis position follows a standard weekly schedule, however, weekend work may be required based on business needs.Equal Opportunity StatementAt GA Foods, we are deeply committed to the principles of equal employment opportunity.
