Job description
Field Service Technician – Door Installation & RepairResponsible for customer satisfaction, troubleshooting, repair, and proper installation of all door systems produced by the company.QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED3+ years in construction, finish carpentry, or door installationReliable attendance and flexible scheduleMust have PPE (steel-toe boots, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves)The company uses E-VerifyTrainingThree months on-the-job trainingKey ResponsibilitiesRepair defects and report issues to management/R&DPerform quality controlTrain sales teams, distributors, and dealerships on installation and product knowledgeTroubleshoot customer issues (phone + onsite)Travel as needed; work overtimeFollow all safety and PPE policiesRead blueprintsComplete service orders and maintain clean job sitesMaintain tools and equipmentBuild and support customer relationshipsIdentify faulty vs. customer-damaged partsCoordinate with distributors/dealerships on jobsite issuesAssist production on non-service daysOther duties as assignedTools & EquipmentHand tools, power tools, GPS, cameraComputer software: Word, Excel, EmailPhysical RequirementsLift 5–40 lbsClimb, crawl, bend, reach, walk long distancesStand for extended periodsPerform repetitive hand/wrist motionsWork EnvironmentOutdoor weather exposureConstruction hazards (dust, debris, falling materials, machinery)Stressful or uncooperative customers
