Job description
Field Service Technician We are seeking a Field Service Technician to support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of power generation and distributed energy systems. This is a hands-on field position suited for a technician with a strong electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical background who enjoys working directly with customers and complex equipment.
The ideal candidate will have experience servicing generators, power generation equipment, CHP/cogeneration systems, microgrids, gas engines, or other industrial energy systems.
Key Responsibilities
Perform field service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of power generation equipment.
Install, start up, commission, and test new equipment and systems.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, controls, and instrumentation issues.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and technical documentation.
Use diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify equipment problems.
Communicate directly with customers to understand issues and provide technical solutions.
Qualifications
Technical training, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, or industrial technology.
Experience working with power generation, generators, industrial equipment, CHP, microgrids, or similar systems.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
