Job description
Field SupervisorThe Field Supervisor will also provide oversight and management of project tasks, but at a localized level typically focusing on supervising fieldwork but may also perform other tasks typically attribute to principals. The field supervisor usually needs to meet the same minimum education and experience requirements of the principal, they often will have similar qualifying experience, but less responsibility. A field supervisor or director may be qualified in archaeology, history, architectural history, historic architecture, historic landscape architecture, other related discipline.Minimum education and experience requirements will be identified in the task order and will often include a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline to the task and at least one year of related professional experience; however, experience may substitute for education.Core CompetenciesTeamwork – ability to foster teamwork collaboratively as a participant, and effectively as a team leaderLeadership – ability to guide and lead colleagues on projects and initiativesBusiness Acumen – understanding and insight into how organizations perform, including business processes, data, systems, and peopleCommunication – ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders of all levels orally and in writingMotivation – persistent in pursuit of quality and optimal client and company solutionsAgility – ability to quickly understand and transition between different projects, concepts, initiatives, or work streamsJudgment – exercises prudence and insight in decision-making process while mindful of other stakeholders and long-term ramificationsOrganization – ability to manage projects and activity, and prioritize tasksOther RequirementsBusiness Tools – understanding and proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office.
