Legal File Clerk / RunnerA prestigious and highly successful Houston law firm is seeking two Legal File Clerks / Runners to join its team! This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous law firm, filing, or administrative experience who is looking to build their career within a fast-paced, professional legal environment. The ideal candidates are organized, dependable, professional, and willing to jump in wherever needed. You'll play an important role in keeping the office running smoothly by assisting with file management, document organization, deliveries, and other administrative needs. This position will begin as a 90-day contract assignment with the opportunity to transition into full-time employment based on performance.Position: Legal File Clerk / RunnerLocation: Houston, TX | 100% In-OfficeSalary: up to $50KEmployment Type: Temp-to-HireKey ResponsibilitiesOrganize, maintain, retrieve, and properly file legal documents and case filesAssist with opening, closing, and maintaining physical and/or electronic filesEnsure documents and files are accurately labeled and storedRetrieve files and documents for attorneys and staff as requestedAssist with copying, scanning, printing, and general document preparationHandle internal and external deliveries, pickups, and runner responsibilitiesTransport documents or materials to courts, clients, vendors, or other locations as neededAssist with moving file boxes and other office materialsProvide general administrative and office support to attorneys and staffMaintain confidentiality when handling sensitive client and legal informationHelp ensure filing areas and records remain organized and easily accessibleQualificationsPrevious filing, records, clerical, or administrative experience within a law firm preferredStrong organizational skills and attention to detailDependable with a strong work ethic and willingness to assist wherever neededAbility to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced professional environmentProfessional demeanor and communication skillsMust be able to lift at least 30 poundsMust have a valid driver's licenseComfortable performing runner duties throughout the Houston area as needed
