Job description

Final Inspector - Level IIIEmerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a quality-oriented Final Inspector - Level III to join its Brea, CA team! The Final Inspector - Level III will perform visual, electrical and dimensional inspection of printed circuit board assemblies; will be responsible for performing receiving inspections of outsourced processes and final assembly inspections while recording results and preparing various quality documents. Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 6 hours per day under a microscope.At Emerald Technologies each employee has a significant role in building innovative products for various industries. Come and work in a supportive, fun team atmosphere where the work is meaningful, and careers have no limits!Responsibilities of the Final Inspector - Level III:Read blueprints and/or engineering specifications to obtain information such as specified material, electrical, cosmetic requirements and workmanship instructions.Perform visual and dimensional inspections of printed circuit board assemblies to ensure workmanship which complies with the appropriate requirements from engineering drawings, process specifications, IPC-610 standards, J-STD-001 and customer specific criteria.Performs inspection on electrical or electronic components by using electrical meters or instruments to confirm adherence to electrical specifications.Performs inspection of conformal coating under both black and white light.Perform and record results of first article inspections of boards after Thru-Hole.Perform sub-assembly, box build, shipping, and receiving inspection as required.Assist in failure investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action activities and quality improvement projects.Benefits of the Job:Competitive medical, dental, and vision benefitsHealth Savings Account/Flexible Spending Account401K and company matching with no vesting periodPTO for rest and relaxationGym reimbursement (through Anthem)Employee Assistance ProgramA safe and inclusive work environment with team and management supportEmployee training and developmentCommunity service and philanthropic initiativesEmployee appreciation and eventsCareer advancement opportunitiesEmployee Referral programEmployee discountsQualifications of the Final Inspector - Level III:High School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum two years of related inspection experience in electronics manufacturing.Ability to read blueprints, drawings, specifications and PCB gerbers.Skilled in electrically measuring resistors and capacitors.Ability to effectively communicate in English both in writing and verbally at the general business level.Expertise in reading component values by inspecting parts.Knowledge of various computer programs (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe).Emerald Technologies is an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers, focusing on high-reliability electronic assemblies. Overtime: May be required based on production needs and will be compensated in accordance with California labor law. Budgeted Hours Budgeted Weekly Hours: 40 hours (5 shifts × 8 hours). Overtime: May be required based on production needs and will be compensated in accordance with California labor law.
