Job description

Final InspectorWe are seeking dedicated Final Inspectors for a large metal finishing facility located in Costa Mesa, CA. Opportunities are available for first shift (6am-2:30pm). This role offers a competitive wage based on experience, with overtime available after training.1st shift - $18 - 24/hrResponsibilities:Perform inspections, including in-process and final inspections of parts and assemblies, in accordance with applicable engineering criteria, documents, drawings, and workmanship standards.Utilize precision measurement equipment/devices to conduct inspections.Act as a customer liaison for source inspection activities.Coordinate calibration activities and maintain records of various tools, instruments, and gauges used for product acceptance or verification/validation.Ensure proper operation of measurement equipment by following operating instructions.Assist engineering and operations in the investigation of non-conformities.Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and procedures and complying with all applicable regulations.Essential Skills:Extensive knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment, including thickness gauges, surface plates, micrometers, height gauges, radius gauges, bore gauges, and dial indicators.Proficient manual dexterity and adept use of precision measuring tools.Knowledge of ISO 9001 & AS9100 Quality Management Systems.Working knowledge of First Article Inspection requirements per AS9102.Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing Practices and Metrics.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong mathematical and analytical skills to determine product acceptability based on established criteria.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Experience with inspection, quality control, and final inspection processes.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Why Work Here?Join a dynamic team at a leading metal finishing facility, offering opportunities for growth and advancement. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
