Finance Lead – Financial Insights & Consulting
Our recruiting team is conducting a confidential search for a Finance Lead – Financial Insights & Consulting with a highly respected global professional services organization headquartered in New York.
This is an opportunity for an experienced finance professional to serve as a strategic analytical partner to senior business leaders, translating complex financial and operational data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
What You’ll Do
Analyze financial performance and business trends to identify opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement
Build and maintain complex financial and analytical models
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to address complex financial and business questions
Lead firmwide and cross-functional financial projects from concept through implementation
Develop standardized reporting and analytical tools that improve efficiency, consistency, and decision-making
Leverage large datasets and business intelligence tools to synthesize information and communicate meaningful conclusions
Present financial insights clearly to stakeholders at varying levels of the organization
Establish and document analytical methodologies, processes, and reporting procedures
Handle highly confidential financial, business, and proprietary information with discretion
Mentor, train, and support other members of the finance/analytics function
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
5+ years of experience in financial analysis, finance, accounting, FP&A, or a related professional-services environment
Demonstrated experience owning projects or strategic initiatives
At least 2 years of experience leading projects or initiatives
Experience mentoring, training, or coaching colleagues
Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with complex financial data
Experience with SAP BusinessObjects or comparable business intelligence/reporting tools is highly desirable
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while effectively partnering with stakeholders across an organization
Strong project management, organization, and problem-solving skills
The Ideal Background
We are particularly interested in professionals who have experience in FP&A, financial analysis, finance business partnering, financial consulting, financial analytics, or professional services finance .
Candidates should be comfortable moving beyond reporting to understanding the "why" behind the numbers and translating analysis into business insights.
