Job Summary

As a Finance Transformation Director - Finance Operations you will lead client-facing finance consulting work focused on improving financial operations, streamlining processes, strengthening controls, and supporting the design and implementation of financial systems, automation, and shared services within our Finance Consulting practice. As a Director you will set strategic direction, drive business growth, shape client engagements, and mentor leaders while balancing vision, commercial judgment, and integrity in executive-level client relationships. In this role at PwC, you will guide multidisciplinary workstreams, identify opportunities to improve efficiency and decision-making, and help clients move finance operations toward more scalable ways of working through practical solutions and clear leadership.

Responsibilities

Leading finance transformation engagements that improve financial operations, shared services, and process efficiency across client organizations

Setting direction for workstreams that redesign accounts payable, accounts receivable, order to cash, and financial close activities

Guiding the design and implementation of finance process automation, digital tooling, and financial system administration solutions

Developing operating models that strengthen financial controls, reporting accuracy, and transaction processing effectiveness

Advising client leaders on financial strategy, forecasting, budgeting, modeling, and performance improvement opportunities

Building relationships with finance executives to shape engagement scope, identify transformation priorities, and expand business opportunities

Overseeing delivery teams in assessing current-state processes, identifying gaps, and defining future-state finance operating models

Applying knowledge of accounting practices, financial reporting, and internal controls to support transformation design and implementation

Coaching teams on change activities, issue resolution, and practical use of AI-enabled finance solutions

Contributing thought leadership on finance operations modernization, operating efficiency, and technology-driven process improvement

What You Must Have

At least a Bachelor's degree

At least 9 years of experience

What Sets You Apart

Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Analytics/Data Science, Business Administration/Management, Computer Science/Information Systems, Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, Risk Management/Insurance

At least one of the following: Certified Public Accountant

Translating finance transformation strategy into client-ready solutions

Leading finance operations initiatives across complex engagement portfolios

Developing thought leadership around finance modernization and automation

Applying financial modeling, reporting, and controls knowledge

Guiding executive conversations across PwC Network teams

Travel Requirements

Travel Requirements Up to 80%

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is: $155,000 - $410,000.

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
