Job Description
nThe Financial accountant is responsible to assist performing a variety of tasks to support the company’s financial operations. The role ensures accurate and timely recording of transactions, reconciliations and reporting. They will work closely with team members across commercial and other departments to support financial reporting and responsibilities.
n1. Financial Records
nnPrepare and maintain accurate financial accounts and accounting records.
nAssist with the preparation of account reconciliations.
nAnalyze financial data for variances and provide explanations.
n n2. Month End
nnAssist with the completion of monthly, quarterly and annual month end close processes.
nPrepare general ledger journals, accruals, prepayments and adjustments.
nDocument in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements.
n n3 Fixed Asset Accounting
nnAssist with physical asset verification.
nClosure of capital projects and recognition of assets to the balance sheet.
n nnQualifications:
Qualifications
nnBachelor’s degree in accounting (desirable) or working towards.
n2+ years’ accounting experience working in financial or asset accounting fields.
nProficiency with Microsoft Suite.
nStrong Communication and interpersonal skills.
nAbility to multitask and adhere to deadlines.
nExperience with Financial ERP systems (desirable)
