nJob Summary
nWe are seeking a Financial Advisor/Tax Preparer to join our team. In this role, you will educate and provide guidance to our clients on how to best utilize and invest their money. You will assess each client’s unique financial picture, understand their needs, and recommend a strategic financial plan. The ideal candidate is capable of analyzing the market’s financial data, has excellent communication and presentation skills, and has a track record of successful financial guidance. Some of your duties will consist of preparing/reviewing individual, LLC, estate, partnership, trust, corporate, gift, and non-profit tax returns, run tax projections and financial forecasts, research tax issues, perform accounting and business management duties, and work on special projects.
nResponsibilities
nGather information to understand each client’s overall financial situation and needs and create individualized financial plans
nMake recommendations around a variety of financial products and services
nMaintain up-to-date knowledge of the market and industry trends
nPrepare and review high level partnership, S Corp and individual tax return preparation
nAssist with various tasks when required including preparing/filing/assisting with filing of: SOIs, 1099s, City of LA, WC & Liab audits, State SOS Renewals Deliver a full range of tax services for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, etc..
nQualifications
nBachelor’s degree in finance or a related field
nPrevious experience as a Financial Adviser or related position
nCurrent certificate of qualifications (FCA, CII, DipFA, CISI, or other)
nTax Experience: 5 years
nUnderstanding of the market’s financial data
nAbility to provide reliable, data-based financial advice
nAbility to explain complex financial information in simple terms
nExcellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
