Job description
JOB SUMMARY
nThe role of the Financial Analyst will be to support the Plant Controller in the execution of the day-to-day general accounting functions and coordination month end closing process, and daily/weekly monthly financial reporting. Assist in the development of financial plans and forecasts, and the analysis of operational results. Prime day-to-day responsibility will be expense processing; monitor and report inventories, standard cost revisions and the operating budget will be key responsibilities.
nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
nnnAnalyze Manufacturing Inventory Cost.
n
nnMaintain Payroll & Fringe expenses and Labor Standards.
n
nnMaintain & Administer Site’s Fixed Assets and Capital Plan.
n
nnInternal and External reporting requirements.
n
nnConduct research, including in-person interviews, observation, process mapping, and surveys.
n
nnSummarize findings and help to develop recommendations.
n
nnImprove upon existing business processes, if necessary.
n
nnDevelop various tools to enhance productivity within the department; this could require creating spreadsheets or databases.
n
nnPrepare user documentation and carry out user training associated with application usage, and associated business processes/practices.
n
n nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES
nJob responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
nnnInvestigate standard variances.
n
nnPerform manufacturing analysis.
n
nnAssist in calculating and planning cost reduction initiatives.
n
nnAssist and oversee the General Accounting and Cost Accounting functions such as product costing, daily variance analysis, capital management and financial reporting.
n
nnAssist in the preparation of the monthly business review package.
n
nnReview/perform account reconciliations.
n
nnParticipate/back-up for daily reporting, daily checkbook and OT review.
n
nnAssist/participate in physical inventories of product inventory and fixed asset inventory.
n
nnBusiness unit/corporate requests.
n
nnAssist in monthly finance close.
n
nnSupport management financial requests for information through detail analysis and reporting.
n
nnAssist controller in forecasting/ budgeting as needed.
n
n nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
nnnA bachelor’s degree with one (1) year of experience, or three (3) years’ related experience in business process modeling or database design. A combination of appropriate education and experience is also acceptable.
n

nnPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

nnGood verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
n
nnAbility to analyze information and make recommendations based on that analysis.
n
nnAbility to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
n
nnDetail oriented.
n
nnExperience using Windows-based applications including Word, Excel, and Access. PowerPoint and Project experience IS useful, but not mandatory.
n
nnExperience developing systematic and manual operations procedures.
