About the Role
One of my key clients this year is a growing pharmaceutical company with an exciting pipeline and ambitious plans for continued growth, currently looking to add a Financial Analyst to their team to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis that guides operational and strategic decisions across the business. You will build financial models, analyze key performance indicators, spot trends, and turn complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
This role suits an analytical thinker who enjoys digging into the numbers, improving processes, and partnering with leaders across manufacturing, commercial, quality, and supply chain. You will use both traditional financial analysis tools and emerging AI technology to make analysis faster and more meaningful.
Primary Responsibilities
Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning aligned with the company's financial and strategic objectives
Provide financial analysis, recommendations, and consultative support to business leaders
Build and maintain financial models to evaluate performance, trends, product profitability, and growth opportunities
Perform cost and efficiency analyses across manufacturing, operations, and support functions, clearly documenting assumptions, key drivers, and recommendations
Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities, including COGS, margins, and inventory
Prepare reports and presentations that turn financial data into clear information for decision-making
Participate in benchmarking, trend analysis, and KPI reporting
Identify and support process improvements that strengthen financial reporting, analysis, and overall efficiency
Partner with cross-functional teams to gather information, understand business needs, and move projects to completion
Use available technology and analytical tools to improve the speed and quality of analysis
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required
2-3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, or a related area required
Experience with financial modeling, trend analysis, benchmarking, and reporting preferred
Pharmaceutical, life sciences, manufacturing, or healthcare experience preferred
CPA helpful but not required
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, with working knowledge of PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
Experience with ERP and computerized accounting systems
Experience using AI tools to support financial or data analysis preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive projects to completion
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and with senior leaders
