Job description
Role Overview
Apply advanced financial and operational chart analysis to create high-quality training and evaluation materials that strengthen how AI systems reason and perform. This remote contract role focuses on complex visual interpretation, rigorous quantitative reasoning, and clearly documented, objectively verifiable work. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret complex financial and operational visualizations, including candlestick charts, yield curves, drawdown charts, market-volume charts, control charts, Pareto charts, process flows, and capacity or throughput charts.
Create clear, objective questions from detailed visualizations that require multi-step quantitative analysis and domain expertise beyond surface-level observations.
Provide precise, unambiguous answers with comprehensive written explanations, explicit analytical steps, and calculations in professional English.
Use accurate financial, economic, and operational terminology, with clear treatment of units, scales, timeframes, categories, and notation.
Develop tasks involving graphical reasoning, comparisons, trend analysis, calculations, and interpolation while avoiding subjective or ambiguous wording.
Collaborate remotely in writing and verbally, incorporate feedback, and deliver consistent contributions.
Produce objectively verifiable tasks that support the development, training, and evaluation of advanced AI systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
At least two years of professional, academic, or research experience interpreting financial market data, risk metrics, or operational performance charts.
Strong chart interpretation accuracy and advanced ability to analyze axes, units, legends, scales, and annotations across chart types.
Ability to perform multi-step quantitative reasoning and construct clear, unambiguous analytical tasks.
Ability to explain analytical processes and quantitative reasoning clearly in written and spoken English.
Precise command of financial and operational terminology.
Bilingual English proficiency and, ideally, proficiency in a second language relevant to finance or operations.
Experience with technical documentation, financial reporting, process or quality assessment, structured analytical task creation, data annotation, benchmark questions, technical reports, or related finance, operations, or AI project deliverables.
Work Terms
Remote contract engagement.
Remote collaboration with project teams is required.
Compensation
$25 to $50 per hour.
