The Legislative Audit Bureau is an award-winning, nonpartisan legislative service agency whose objective analyses and recommendations help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of state government operations. We are looking for detail-oriented professionals to join our team and contribute to the Bureau's important mission. The Bureau's work helps the Legislature fulfill its responsibility to provide effective oversight of Wisconsin state government.

Position Summary

What Will You Do?

As a member of the Financial Audit Division, you will be assigned to a variety of diverse and challenging audit assignments, including the audit of Wisconsin's financial statements and the audit of the State's compliance with federal grant program requirements. Our financial auditors work with audit professionals to systematically examine the accounting records and financial statements of entities that receive public funds and perform reviews of government operations that promote good fiscal and management practices.

Qualifications

Who Are You?

As a qualified candidate: You are able to maintain strict nonpartisanship.

You possess your CPA license.

You have at least 3 years of recent professional auditing experience.

In addition, as a well-qualified candidate: You are able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

You are highly motivated, take initiative, and excel in meeting challenges.

You possess strong attention to detail.

You are able to effectively balance multiple tasks.

You are able to develop positive working relationships with teammates and other colleagues.

You are able to self-reflect and respond to feedback in a positive and constructive manner.
