Job description
Our client is seeking an onsite Financial Controller to lead our local accounting operations and drive financial excellence in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Director ofFinance, this position is responsible for delivering accurate, timely financialreporting while maintaining strong accounting practices, internal controls, andoperational support.
As a key member of theFinance leadership team, the Controller will lead daily accounting operations,oversee payroll for more than 1,000 associates, develop the accounting team,and provide meaningful financial insight to resort leadership.
Financial Leadership: Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely monthly closing and financial reporting.
Internal Controls: Maintain, audit, and improve robust internal control structures to safeguard high-volume cash flow and resort assets.
Operational Oversight: Partner with department heads to manage budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost-control initiatives.
Mentorship: Supervise and develop the onsite accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
Requirements
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally withinthe hospitalityindustry and has managed the financials for multiple properties.
Proficiency in Office 365,advanced Excel,enterprise-level hospitality property management systemsand payroll systems
Exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively across leadership levels.
Flexibility to work weekends or holidays as needed.
