Job description
The Agency of Human Services seeks a Financial Director III to provide strategic financial oversight of Vermont's Medicaid program, including budgeting, forecasting, expenditure reporting, and federal compliance. The role involves coordination with senior leadership, federal partners, and other state agencies on payment methodologies and audits, with direct supervision of three Financial Managers.
Key qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with 20+ credit hours in accounting plus 4 years professional fiscal operations experience
Master's degree in accounting, business or public administration with 3 years professional fiscal operations experience
7+ years professional accounting, budgeting, or fiscal operations experience with program management
Experience managing major fiscal programs or operations
Possible requirement for VISION system (PeopleSoft financial management) experience
