Job description
We are seeking a hands-on Director of Finance to lead and build a centralized finance function for a growing, private equity-backed commercial landscaping platform with multiple locations.
This position will work closely with the CEO, General Managers, and Board and will oversee both day-to-day accounting and forward-looking financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, and financial reporting
Own the monthly close and ensure accurate GAAP-based reporting
Manage cash flow, including a rolling 13-week cash forecast
Oversee AR, collections, AP, and procurement processes
Analyze customer, contract, pricing, and service-line profitability
Manage banking relationships, lender reporting, and covenant compliance
Oversee capital expenditures, fleet/equipment financial planning, and expense management
Build and improve financial systems, reporting, and processes across multiple locations
Lead the financial integration of future acquisitions
Develop and lead the finance/accounting team
Qualifications
10+ years of finance experience with 3+ years in a senior finance leadership role
Experience overseeing both accounting and forward-looking finance
Multi-location or multi-entity experience
Experience within a private equity-backed or acquisition-driven company
Background in landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, restoration, pest control, or another field-service industry preferred
Strong FP&A, cash management, budgeting, and financial reporting experience
Experience with Aspire, ServiceTitan, or a similar field-service ERP preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA, CFO, or VP of Finance experience is a plus
