nLeggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking to hire a Financial Planning & Analysis Lead (FP&A)to drive financial performance through forecasting, analysis, and strategic planning. nThe FP&A Lead will own forecasting processes, financial reporting, and business performance analysis while supporting key strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across the organization.
nThis position partners closely with cross-functional teams to align financial targets with operational execution and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
nSo, what will you be doing as a Financial Planning & Analysis Lead (FP&A)
nFinancial Planning & Forecasting
nnnLead the development and management of short-term and long-range financial forecasts, including monthly forecasts and multi-year strategic plans
n
nnAnalyze trends, market conditions, and business drivers to identify risks and opportunities
n
nnAlign financial forecasts with demand planning, sales expectations, and operational capacity
n
nnManage forecasting cycles, ensuring timely updates and accuracy
n
n nFinancial Analysis & Reporting
nnnPrepare and deliver executive-level reporting, including Monthly Business Review (MBR) materials and financial dashboards
n
nnMonitor key financial and operational KPIs (e.g., Sales, EBIT, EBITDA, working capital metrics)
n
nnConduct variance analysis (actual vs. plan/forecast) and provide clear recommendations
n
nnTranslate complex financial data into actionable insights for leadership
n
n nCosting & Profitability Analysis
nnnLead or support product costing processes, including inventory valuation methodologies such as FIFO costing
n
nnAnalyze cost drivers, margins, and pricing performance
n
nnPartner with operations and supply chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities
n
n nStrategic Planning & Decision Support
nnnBuild financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives and business decisions
n
nnSupport capital planning, budgeting, and long-term financial strategy development
n
nnEvaluate business opportunities, including product launches and operational investments
n
n nCross-Functional Business Partnership
nnnCollaborating with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance teams to align financial and operational plans
n
nnParticipate in S&OP and demand planning processes to ensure alignment across functions
n
nnProvide financial guidance to support business decisions and performance improvement
n
n nProcess Improvement & Systems Enhancement
nnnIdentify and implement improvements to financial processes, reporting, and forecasting methodologies
n
nnDevelop tools and automation to improve reporting efficiency and data accuracy
n
nnEstablish standardized processes and best practices for financial planning
n
n nTo be successful in this role, you’ll need:
nnnBachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
n
nnProven experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related finance role
n
nnStrong analytical and financial modeling skills
n
nnAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
n
n nThings we consider a plus:
nnnExperience with business intelligence or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
n
nnBackground in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain finance
n
nnExperience supporting cross-functional planning processes (e.g., S&OP)
