Job Details
We are looking for a motivated Accounting Manager to join our Corporate Accounting team. This individual will play a key leadership role in overseeing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting accurate financial reporting.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced corporate environment, enjoys mentoring others, and is passionate about improving processes while partnering cross-functionally across the business.
Responsibilities
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
Ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
Maintain and strengthen SOX compliance and internal control processes
Partner with Finance, FP&A, Internal Audit, and business leaders across the organization
Analyze financial results and investigate variances
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes through automation and continuous improvement
Support internal and external audit activities
Mentor, coach, and develop accounting professionals while fostering a collaborative team environment
Participate in special projects, system implementations, and strategic finance initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA designation strongly preferred
7+ years of progressive accounting experience
Prior experience leading or supervising accounting teams
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting
Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls
ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities
Preferred Experience
Fortune 500 or large corporate accounting environment
Public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) experience
Experience leading process improvement or automation initiatives
Financial reporting and audit support experience
