Job description
Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a Financial Services Litigation Associate to join its Financial Services Practice Group in Miami. This position is ideal for a motivated attorney with at least two years of commercial and/or financial services litigation experience who is looking to build a long-term career within a collaborative and supportive team at one of the nation’s premier law firms.
Responsibilities:
Handle a mix of financial services and commercial litigation, including commercial real estate and loan enforcement matters.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and other substantive litigation documents.
Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal and factual issues.
Manage discovery, document production, and case deadlines.
Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
Analyze loan documents, commercial agreements, and related materials in connection with financial disputes.
Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's national Financial Services Group while taking increasing ownership of matters and client responsibilities.
Qualifications:
2–3 years of commercial litigation experience, preferably with a focus on financial services.
Experience involving commercial real estate, loan enforcement, or financial services litigation.
Experience with depositions and courtroom proceedings is a plus.
Excellent academic credentials and strong writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex legal and factual issues.
Motivated self-starter with strong teamwork, initiative, and attention to detail.
Interest in contributing to and growing within a national financial services practice.
