Financial Services Regulatory Associate Attorney – DC, Miami & New YorkDirect Counsel is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney or Special Counsel with 5+ years of experience to join a leading Financial Services Regulatory practice in Washington, DC, Miami, or New York.The ideal candidate will have sophisticated technology and commercial transactions experience, with particular experience advising clients in the fintech, payments, cryptocurrency, and/or digital assets sectors.ResponsibilitiesDraft and negotiate complex technology and commercial agreements, including technology licensing, SaaS and cloud services agreements, strategic partnerships, and other commercial arrangementsAdvise on transactions involving fintech and digital asset products and platformsSupport matters involving bank-fintech partnerships, payments, blockchain, cryptocurrency, stablecoins, tokenization, custody, and related infrastructureCollaborate with regulatory and corporate attorneys to structure and launch innovative products and commercial relationships at the intersection of technology and financial services regulationIndependently manage sophisticated matters and client relationshipsRequirements5+ years of relevant experience with sophisticated technology and commercial transactionsExperience in fintech, payments, cryptocurrency, digital assets, or related financial services sectorsStrong drafting and negotiation skillsExcellent academic credentialsSound commercial judgment and ability to independently manage sophisticated matters and client relationshipsExperience at a nationally recognized law firm with a technology transactions, fintech, and/or digital assets practice preferredCompensation & BenefitsThe expected annual salary is $365,000+, with the final offer dependent on geographic location, experience, and skillset.The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, HSA and FSA options, commuter benefits, life and disability insurance, backup care, parental support, generous parental leave, fertility benefits, four weeks of vacation, two weeks of sick time, and 10 paid holidays.
