Insurance & Financial Services Representative – State Farm Agent Team MemberPosition Overview If you're comfortable talking about goals, asking the right questions, and turning conversations into business opportunities, Derek DeLisle State Farm is looking for an Insurance & Financial Services Representative who wants their performance to matter. This is the most sales-focused of Derek's current opportunities. You'll work with prospective and existing customers to identify needs, develop new business, deepen existing relationships, and contribute directly to agency production. Derek has been an agent since 2010 and has developed an established customer base of approximately 3,300 households and 9,000 policies. That existing book creates opportunities for a motivated professional who knows how to build relationships and follow through.Your FocusDevelop new insurance business.Build relationships with prospective customers.Review existing customer needs and identify appropriate opportunities.Conduct needs-based insurance and financial-services conversations within applicable licensing and authorization requirements.Generate and follow up with leads.Seek referrals and develop additional sales opportunities.Cross-sell appropriate products based on customer needs.Maintain a consistent sales pipeline.Follow up with prospects rather than allowing opportunities to go cold.Work toward established agency production and performance goals.Provide service support when necessary as part of Derek's hybrid team environment.What Will Make You Successful? Derek strongly prefers licensed candidates, but he is also willing to consider someone with demonstrated sales ability who is smart, hardworking, coachable, and prepared to obtain the necessary licenses. This role is best suited for someone who is motivated by performance, comfortable initiating conversations, persistent with follow-up, and capable of developing genuine customer relationships.Why Join Derek's Team? The agency already has scale: approximately 9,000 policies and 3,300 households. You're joining an established operation rather than being expected to create every opportunity from scratch. Starting base compensation is approximately $35,000 annually, with qualifying employees eligible for performance bonuses every six months. Derek reported that one current employee earns approximately $70,000–$80,000 annually, which illustrates the potential available to a strong performer; individual results will vary and this level of compensation is not guaranteed. Qualified licensed candidates may receive a sign-on bonus, and eligible employees may receive a bonus after obtaining required licensing. Paid time off is provided.
