Job description
Financial SpecialistThe Financial Specialist is responsible for providing a consistently positive and professional customer service experience demonstrating a high level of sales proficiency in person and on the phone. The individual handles customers' initial needs, opens deposit accounts, offers consumer loans, conducts routine paying and receiving functions, cross sells bank products and services and directs customers to the appropriate personnel for further assistance. Other duties include:Opens deposit accounts, consumer loans, and ancillary servicesUncovers customer expansion opportunities and refers customers to proper bank personnelRequires work on physical bank premisesBuilds a relationship with customers, acting in a consultative role and establishing a follow-up plan to ensure the continuing relationship and enhance customer retentionMonitors and makes good decisions regarding customer account management in order to minimize risk to the bank from charge-offs, overdrafts, and other transaction riskPerforms account maintenance and related activities. Researches and resolves customer service issues as well as outages in the bankBalances transactions and cash ensuring paper documentation and negotiability and an adequate audit trailProcesses paying and receiving transactionsQualifications:High school diploma or GEDUp to 5 years account opening and consumer lending (Personal loans, Refi's and HELOC's)Paying and receiving experience; experience in a regulated environmentMust be able to meet associated background requirements for registration with NMLSSkills:Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Word; basic keyboarding and calculator skills; must be able to do simple math and carry out written instructions.Must possess ability for professional communication through a variety of delivery channels (oral, written, digital).Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential functions of the position.ANBTX strongly encourages candidates that are fluent in English and Spanish to apply.
