Job description

Why This Role Matters

As an Art Workshop Developer, you’ll design world-class professional learning experiences that help art educators strengthen instruction, engage students in meaningful creative work, and support students in developing both artistic skills and their individual creative voice. Your expertise in art education will shape practical, research-informed workshops that educators can immediately apply in their classrooms and studios.

You’ll take client goals and instructional challenges and turn them into thoughtful, engaging professional learning experiences. Your ability to understand the realities of art instruction — from technique and creative process to critique, differentiation, assessment, student engagement, and emerging technologies — will directly influence educator practice and ultimately student outcomes.

This is a contractor position with flexibility in scheduling.

Who We Are

At EdConnective, we believe the most powerful tool in any classroom is the educator. Our mission is to ensure every student thrives by supporting exceptional teacher and leader growth. When educators grow, students win — and our work accelerates that growth every day.

If that excites you, you’re in the right place. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds, experiences, and education levels.

Why You’ll Love EdConnective

Real Impact, Every Day – Your work will directly improve outcomes for educators and students. Our inboxes are full of stories showing just how transformational this support can be.

No Gimmicks, Just Great Work – Our customer approach is consultative, thoughtful, and high-integrity. No pressure tactics. No spammy follow-ups.

Elite Team, Shared Mission – You’ll collaborate with leaders and mentors who’ve helped build iconic education organizations (Rosetta Stone, Hobsons, and others) and work alongside expert educators with thousands of years of combined experience.

Smart Tools, Less Busywork – We use modern tech to automate the tedious and amplify the strategic.

Serious About Growth – We invest in you. With a personalized development plan and ongoing learning support, you’ll have room to level up fast.

What You’ll Love To Do

Design engaging, practical professional learning experiences specifically for art educators.

Translate client goals and instructional challenges into clear, actionable workshop content.

Bring authentic art classroom and studio experience into workshop design, ensuring content reflects the realities educators and students experience every day.

Develop strategies that help art teachers strengthen student engagement, artistic skill development, creative thinking, and student voice.

Create opportunities for educators to apply, practice, reflect, collaborate, and leave with strategies they can use immediately.

Incorporate research, best practices, and relevant visual arts standards into workshop content.

Design examples, scenarios, activities, and resources that are authentic to art education across different grade levels, courses, and artistic mediums.

Explore meaningful connections between traditional artistic practice and digital tools, emerging technologies, and evolving creative fields when relevant to client needs.

Consider how art educators can differentiate instruction and create inclusive creative environments while maintaining high expectations for all students.

Collaborate with EdConnective team members and facilitators to refine workshop materials based on feedback and client needs.

Create facilitator-ready materials that allow another educator to confidently deliver the professional learning experience.

Approach development with creativity, curiosity, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of how adults learn.

What You Bring

5+ years of experience in K–12 art education, visual arts instruction, art curriculum development, instructional leadership, or a combination of these contexts.

Strong knowledge of high-quality art instruction, including artistic skill development, creative process, critique and feedback, differentiation, assessment, and student engagement.

Experience designing curriculum, professional learning, instructional resources, or workshops for educators.

A strong understanding of the realities and challenges art educators encounter across different grade levels, courses, and instructional settings.

Familiarity with a range of artistic practices, mediums, and approaches to supporting student creativity and artistic expression.

Ability to translate research and instructional best practices into practical, educator-friendly resources and learning experiences.

Strong written communication and instructional design skills.

Experience with adult learning and an understanding of what makes professional development meaningful, interactive, and actionable.

Tech-savviness and comfort working with Google tools, presentation materials, digital collaboration platforms, and relevant creative technologies.

A growth mindset and openness to feedback and revision.

A self-starter attitude, reliability, timeliness, and professionalism.
