Finish TechnicianAre you interested in becoming a part of an innovative in-house maintenance facility working in our interiors department on private aircraft?Flexjet, an award-winning organization, is currently looking for an experienced Finish Technician to join our team!This position is located in Sanford, Florida.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform general mechanical functions on aircraft cabinets and related systems.Ability to spray and polish gloss/satin coatings.Ability to perform minor modifications.Ability to perform wood touch up repairs.Maintenance and repair equipment and tooling when required.Cleanliness of shop and surroundings.Work independently when required.Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.Required SkillsEducation High school diploma or equivalent.Experience 3-5 years' experience on aircraft cabinetry to include building, modification, and finishingStrong mechanical aptitude within Aviation with an understanding of aircraft interiors and associated components, including repairs and fabrications.Basic Computer skills.Experience in Aviation Maintenance Software Programs, Corridor background preferred.Written and verbal communication skills.Responsibility Able to perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.Maintain customer-oriented work habits.Ability to pass background check and achieve airport security badgeWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
